This dessert is no-bake and is quickly put together on the stove top.

2 2/3 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup evaporated milk
3 cups vanilla wafer crumbs (I used Nilla wafer cookies, one regular sized box, crushed in my food processor)
I think oreo cookie crumbs would be fantastic in these too!
2 cups mini marshmallows
1 cup nuts (I used pecans) optional
1 cup powdered sugar

1/2 cup of the chocolate mixture from above
2 tsp evaporated milk

Place chocolate chips and milk in a large saucepan on the stove and heat on medium-low stirring until chips are melted.
Remove from heat (I left mine on the stove when stirring the other ingredients in, but the element was off).
Measure out 1/2 cup of this mixture for the topping and set aside.
Stir in cookie crumbs, marshmallows, nuts and sugar.
Press into an 8×8″ baking dish (grease or line with aluminum foil or parchment).
For the topping combine the reserved 1/2 cup chocolate mixture with the 2 tsp of evaporated milk.
Spread on top of the bars.
Refrigerate until topping is set.
Cut into squares.
Store at room temperature in a covered container, freezes well.
